Imelda is the founder & Lead Epidemiologist of Bayes Health Consulting. Prior to funding Bayes Health, she served as an epidemiologist at a Souther California community health department, where she gained hands-on experience across communicable disease surveillance, enteric disease and foodborne illness investigations, tuberculosis outbreak investigations, COVID-19 outbreak response, and complex multi agency investigations involving rare and infectious pathogens, partnering with state government agencies and health facilities.

Before her public health department role, Imelda built a strong academic foundation, serving as a biostatistics professor, completing multiple research assistant positions, submitting and presenting abstracts to peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and conducing original IRB-approved survey instrument development and psychometric validation for her MPH thesis at CSU Northridge.
